Obituary for Pauline "Pauline" Coleman (Brownlee)

Pauline "Pauline" Coleman (Brownlee)
Pauline Coleman was born in Hudson New Mexico (near Logan), on December 24, 1918. She was 2nd of 7 girls and 2 boys.
Pauline is survived by her son and daughter, two granddaughters, one grandson, 5 great grandsons, one great granddaughter, and one great, great granddaughter.

She traveled the country with her husband, Kimble, and two small children during WWII.

After the war they moved to Hurley, New Mexico where Kimble ran the power plant and Pauline ran the social scene. They loved to sight see and took many, many trips. Fishing was a big part of those trips but Pauline never did bait a hook! Didn't like to touch worms. She liked to fish from a boat, but was afraid of water, she never learned how to swim.

After retirement they moved to Blue, Arizona where Kimble and Pauline took long walks in the wood and Pauline gardened and Kimble tinkered. They continued their travels, so much they wore out their first motorhome and had to get another. From early on, each trip, each walk she collected rocks, sea shells even little pieces of wood. She saw beauty and design in everything. As those of you know she had a fairly large collection. We recently gave a large basket of sea shells to her great grandson Hayden who is thrilled with them.

Pauline and Kimble were "snowbirds" in Wickenburg, AZ. Pauline lost her partner 20 years ago but remained in Wickenburg until 3 years ago when she move to Vista del Rio Retirement Apartments. She was sociable and lots of friends. This was home for her and she was happy and content.

She will be missed.
