Anna Mae "Ann"  Lafeen (Owens)
Anna Mae Lafeen (Ann) died peacefully at her home in Surprise, Arizona on January 12, 2017. She was born in Downey, Idaho on April 3, 1926 to Raymond T. and Mary B.Owens.

Ann grew up on a farm near Malad, Idaho and graduated from Malad High School in 1944. The family moved to Ogden, Utah that year, where Ann worked at the Ward Defense Depot.

She married Stanley W. Lafeen on August 17, 1946, in Salt Lake City. They lived in the Salt Lake City area for the next 40 years, where their two children, Mary Joy and Stanley Ray were born and grew up. The family was active in the LDS Church as well as the community and schools. They enjoyed a wide variety of indoor and outdoor sports.

Ann and Stan retired in 1978 and spent much of the next ten years traveling around in their motorhome before settling down at the winter home in Surprise Arizona and a summer place in Star Valley Ranch, Wyoming.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, daughter and a grandson. She is survived by her brothers, John Owens of Kearns, Utah and Ted Owens of Wichita, Kansas; son, Ray Lafeen of Surprise, Arizona;
grandchildren, Lindsay Lafeen and Ashley Lafeen of Salt Lake City and other relatives in Utah and Colorado
.
Ann enjoyed gardening and combined a green thumb with diligent work to produce beautiful vegetable and flower gardens and house plants. She was an excellent cook and grandiose hostess who liked to entertain and prepare delicious meals for family and guests.

She was a wonderful sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be fondly remembered by all.
