Muriel Jeanne Loop (Loudon), 89, passed away October 4, 2017 in Sun City, Arizona, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by Renee (Don) Zangari, Candi (David) Lehmann and Stephanie (Ken) Wolf, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Her husband of 49 years, Harold Loop, and their son Gregory Loop both preceded her in death.

Muri was born in Devils Lake, ND to George and Beatrice Loudon, and moved as a young girl to Washington State with her family. She graduated from Bellingham High School, Class of 1946, and attended Western Washington University. Muri and her husband Harold (“Hal”) owned and operated the HalRoy Kennel for thirty years in Bellingham, Washington, training hunting dogs and breeding and training nationally renowned field and bench championship black, yellow and chocolate Labrador Retrievers.

Muri spent the past 20 years in Arizona, with daughter Stephanie, enjoying the Arizona weather and year-round outdoor activities. She loved to go water-walking daily in the Sun City pools and more recently with friends at the Casa del Rio Apartment complex. She was known for her matching swimsuits and visors, her sense of style, good humor and positive attitude.

A private family service will be held with inurnment at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham, Washington. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, www.hov.org - 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656, so they may continue their wonderful work in the community.
